Work / Life Balance

A big part of our commitment to our employees is to support their ability to care for their families. In addition to dependent health and life insurance benefits, we provide access to day care near our main campus, subsidized back-up care, educational search tools, and a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account to help meet your child, adult, and elder care needs.

Highlights

Back-up Child, Adult, and Elder Care

We provide access to subsidized back-up child, adult, and elder care services through Bright Horizons® Family Solutions. Employees can use this service when they need to be at work and their regular arrangements for dependent care are temporarily unavailable, whether the dependent is a child, a spouse recovering from a major surgery, or an elderly parent who needs assistance.

Weill Cornell Children's Center

Created exclusively for Weill Cornell Medicine faculty, staff, and students, the Weill Cornell Children's Center is a full-time, full-service day care for infants through pre-schoolers located near our main campus. Tuition rates are based on the age of the child and the family's annual household income. (Note that space is limited.)

Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account

This account allows you to use pre-tax money for eligible dependent care expenses, including day care and day campus for children under the age of 13, as well as caregiving services for a dependent spouse, parent, or child.

School Search Service

EduProfile is an online tool designed to help you find the right school for your child and navigate the admissions process. We provide free access to the website for all of our employees, and it offers search options for over 2,500 schools in New York City, comparison tools, and a variety of other helpful information. We also offer on-campus, in-person seminars with school search and admission experts throughout the year.

Note that all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
