Recruitment Process

Step 1: Phone Interview

If you are one of the top candidates for a role, a member of our Talent Acquisition team will reach out to you for a brief phone interview. You will discuss your experience, skills, career goals, and why you want to work for Weill Cornell Medicine.

Step 2: In-Person Interviews

The in-person interview process varies from role to role and may consist of one-on-one meetings or panel interviews with Human Resources staff and representatives from the hiring department.

Step 3: Job Offer

Human Resources extends all staff (non-academic) job offers. If you're selected for a role, your recruiter will contact you by phone. Once you verbally accept the offer, the recruiter will send you a formal offer letter with your title, salary, and start date.

Step 4: Medical Screening & Pre-employment Requirements

All job offers are contingent upon passing a medical screening and meeting any additional employment requirements. We will schedule your screening at our on-campus Workforce Health & Safety clinic. Depending on the nature of your new role, you may need to complete your screening before your first day of work.

Step 5: Onboarding & New Employee Orientation

Our Onboarding Services staff will send you new employee paperwork and details about your orientation session. Orientation is scheduled on the morning of your first day at Weill Cornell Medicine and provides an overview of our organizational history and structure, your employee benefits, compliance requirements, and more.
